Ah, wrinkles. They may as well be the mascot for ageing, since they are the focus of pretty much every skin care advertisement. For a woman, this preoccupation is likely to start in her late 20s to early 30s, when she spots that first indication that she’s no longer a teenager. From there, it only gets more substantial, but there are ways to slow it down.
Solution
Keep the skin amply hydrated, as any kind of dryness may exaggerate wrinkles. Products with retinoic acid are proven to increase collagen production, which will in turn alleviate wrinkling. Ask your dermatologist for a prescription.
What you can expect…
Once a wrinkle has made itself comfortable on your skin, it’s pretty difficult to remove it altogether. (Hence, my “prevention is everything’ motto of skin care!) But, if you start early enough, and become vigilant in avoiding wrinkle-causing sun damage and stick to a consistent routine, you can expect those critters to become softer and more diffused.
